Alarm Company, later to become the
Richmond Alarm Company we know today.
Richmond Alarm Company is now owned and operated by Wayne and Jimmy Boggs,
the second generation. From offices in Richmond and Lynchburg, Richmond Alarm
Company sells and installs a wide range of electronic security and fire alarm systems
for homes, businesses and industry. We offer security, fire and medical alarms, as well
as closed circuit television and card access systems, and we operate the largest central
monitoring station in Virginia.

Lynchburg Alarm
Lynchburg Alarm was added to the family in 1989 when Richmond Alarm Company
purchased the assets of Advanced Defense Incorporated of Lynchburg. The assets included several
hundred monitored alarm systems, two vans, and one technician, Matt Eland. Over the years Matt
served as technician, salesperson, branch manager, and recruiter, while building the branch.
By 2005 the office employed 5 people and the growth of the Lynchburg area indicated great
potential. In 2005, Wayne Boggs, President of Richmond Alarm, named Sharon Kenney, then
sales manager of the Richmond office, to the job of Branch Manager, with the charge to build the
Lynchburg market. Within two years the office had grown to 10 employees, and sales were
growing. By 2007 with the acquisition of CEVA Security, the Lynchburg office was servicing
over 2,000 clients in the Western Virginia area.
